FAQs

What therapies do you practise?

See the Therapies drop down menu for a more detailed explanation of each therapy – they range from massage, nutritional advice to reiki/energy healing and EFT.

Where do you practise from?

I work at the Ola Centre in Totnes http://www.totneschiropractic.co.uk/ and the Totnes Natural Health Centre http://www.tnhc.co.uk/ and also remotely via Skype. I can also visit your home or workplace (there may be a charge for fuel depending on distance).

What health issues can your therapies address?

These are some of the health issues I have worked with:

  • Chronic pain
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Eliminating or reducing the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder
  • Addiction
  • Eating disorders
  • Phobias
  • Insomnia
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Dementia

Might I get a negative reaction from a session?

As I am working with energy during the course of a session, as energies shift to a more beneficial state some people may experience the following:

  • Intense release of emotions
  • A headache
  • Flu-like symptoms as the body rids itself of toxins
  • Dizziness or fainting.

I am able to respond with techniques to assist if any of these should happen.

I live outside of the UK, can you help me?

Yes I work remotely via Skype so can give consultations globally.

Do you teach?

Yes I hold regular workshops on topics such as balancing hormones naturally, how to do Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and ways to alleviate the effects of radio and chemotherapy.

I also teach the Eden Energy Medicine five minute daily energy routine. This is a simple, effective routine which, when done daily, helps to balance the body’s energy flow so leaving you more energised. It also strengthens the immune system, assists with metabolism and boosts mental clarity.

Do you work with organisations?

Yes I have provided workplace massage at Bristol City Council. Other organisations I have worked with include Bristol Community Health and Neal’s Yard Remedies. I have also partnered up with MoveGB to offer discounted therapies to its members.

Workplace stress is a major issue which I can help organisations to address.

I would welcome the opportunity to meet with schools to discuss ways I can work with them to address pupil stress, anxiety and other health issues.

What are you passionate about?

I am particularly passionate about mental health and our progress towards de-stigmatisation of mental health and would like to see equal funding being allocated to this sector as is given to physical health and for this to be a priority. I would also like to see more integration between the best of what conventional medicine and complementary therapies have to offer.
